The Air Line Pilots Association, International (ALPA) is the largest pilot union in the world, representing more than 61,000 pilots from 33 U.S. and Canadian airlines. ALPA was founded on 27 July 1931.

Scope and Contents From the Collection: The Biographical Files are an artifical collection with textual and photographic files on prominent people, groups, and events in the space and aviation industries. Over 1600 individuals and a couple dozen groups are represented with textual material such as original and photocopies of newspaper clippings, articles, obituaries and other printed ephemera such as brochures and tickets, as well as photographic and digital prints and photocopied images.
