Historical Note

Aloha Airlines was founded in 1946 as Trans-Pacific Airlines, a charter and scheduled passenger service airline. The airline altered its name slightly in 1952 to TPA-The Aloha Airline and in 1958 to Aloha Airlines. It later acquired Island Air. Aloha Airlines ceased operations in 2008.
