Historical Note

Alitalia was founded in 1946. The airline was the flag carrier and largest airline of Italy until it ceased operations in October 2021 having sold its entire operation to ITA Airways, the new flag carrier airline of Italy.

The collection also contains a poster for a parade for Astronaut Dick Gordon through Seattle, Washington in 1966.
