Overview

The Howard J. Boydstun Naval Aviation Collection contains both visual materials and textual documents that bring to light the military career of naval aviator Howard J. Boydstun. Boydstun served in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. While the collection dates from 1940 to 1995, the bulk of the materials document the years of Boydstun’s service from 1942 until his retirement in 1972.

Contents of the Collection The John E. Leach World War II Collection contains a logbook and photographs related to Leach's World War II service in the U.S. Navy. The Aviators Flight Log Book notes Leach's hours logged from flight training to his patrols to various islands in the Pacific theater of World War II. The logbook also contains small photos of aircraft, cards for Leach's naval training certifications, flight equipment record cards, and a requisition form to replace stolen equipment....

Abstract

Glenn E. Zimmerman (1912-1993) served with the United States Navy as a pilot during World War II. The collection contains photographs, holiday greeting cards and menus, military records, and military identification card from his 1942-1946 military service.
