Abstract

Lloyd R. Lyckman (1914-1993) was a Staff Sergeant with Army Air Forces 158th and 72nd Liaison Squadrons during World War II and post-war in Japan. The collection contains photographs, assorted manuscripts, maps and printed ephemera related to his training and military service in Japan.

Abstract

Lt. Col. James C. Stewart (1919-2004) was born in Corona, California. He joined the Army Air Force, graduated from flying school in August 1940, and was assigned to the 56th Fighter Group which was stationed in England during World War II. The collection primarily covers Lt. Col. Stewart's 1943-1966 military service with military records, personal documents, photographs, clippings, assorted ephemera, and films.

Scope and Contents From the Series: The Photographic Prints and Negatives series documents many aircraft, people and organizations affiliated with the Curtiss-Wright Company and its predecessor companies, spanning the early 1900s through 1960 with the bulk of items from the 1930s-1940s.
