Overview

The Howard J. Boydstun Naval Aviation Collection contains both visual materials and textual documents that bring to light the military career of naval aviator Howard J. Boydstun. Boydstun served in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. While the collection dates from 1940 to 1995, the bulk of the materials document the years of Boydstun’s service from 1942 until his retirement in 1972.

Abstract

Elvin L. Lindsay (1920-1999) was born in Potlach, Idaho and served as a pilot in the U.S. Navy during World War II, earning Ace status in 1944. The collection contains four (4) log books, a scrapbook, a small amount of ephemera, and photographs documenting Lindsay's wartime career.
