Jules Verne (J. V.) Hyde (1889-1953) and Harley Hyde (1892-1919) were brothers who served in World War I as flight instructors. Clyde Edward Pangborn (circa 1890s-1958) was born in Bridgeport, Washington and was a military pilot and barnstormer.
