Content Description The Jim Plant oral interview is a small collection consisting of an audio recording and related document of an oral interview conducted by Fred Parkinson with his uncle Jim Plant in August 1996 about Plant's experience as a prisoner of war during World War II. James Plant was a bomber pilot for the Royal Air Force during World War II who was shot down in July 1940 over Germany. Lt. Col. James C. Stewart (1919-2004) was born in Corona, California. He joined the Army Air Force, graduated from flying school in August 1940, and was assigned to the 56th Fighter Group which was stationed in England during World War II. Abstract

The Paul A. Ludwig Military Aviation Photograph Collection contains 2382 photographic prints and negatives with a very small amount of textual materials collected by Paul A. Ludwig and ranging from the late 1910s through the early 1980s. The bulk and strength of the collection is photographs of World War II-era aircraft and squadrons. The collection is nearly all copy prints from a variety of institutions and dozens of private collections.
