Abstract

William Frederick "Bill" Barns (1920-1995) joined the United States Air Force in 1942 and flew in the European Theater during World War II. After the war, Barns served in the USAF in several capacities until his retirement in 1966 when he went to work in the private sector, including for Garrett Corporation. The collection contains a broad array of textual materials as well as photographs and digital images related to his military and professional careers.

Contents of the Collection The evé Martinez-Petrut Eastern Airlines Flight Attendant Collection is quite small. The collection contains a November 1958 Eastern Airlines (EA) flight attendant diploma for Martinez, including a black-and-white 8x10" group portrait of the graduating class and a program and menu for the graduation event. Digital prints for each of these items are also included in the collection, as well as a CD-ROM which holds digital files, per donor information. The collection also has one "Occupied"...

Abstract

Floyd W. Shepard (approx. 1890-1966) served as a pilot with the U.S. Army Air Service late in World War I and in the postwar occupation. The collection contains materials relating to his training in the United States and his service overseas.
