Contents of the Collection The Joe Aiken Films are comprised of six films shot, produced, or compiled by Joe Aiken of 20th Century Fox Studio, from approximately 1918-1947. The films contain a mix of newsreel footage, documentary footage of aircraft manufacturing, and flight footage. Lee Embree Collection

Abstract

Lee R. Embree (1915-2008) was born in Iowa, enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1936, and was assigned to the 38th Reconnaisance Squadron as an aerial photographer during World War II. Embree was at Hickam Field, Hawaii during the 1941 Pearl Harbor bombing and took several photographs. The collection contains photographs, textual materials, audiovisual materials, and a scrapbook that relate to Embree's military service and photography as well as his post-war photography activities.

Lambert Photograph Collection consists of 9,687 black-and-white and color photographs, 2,048 black-and-white and color negatives and 9 photographic slides as well as a small amount of textual material primarily documenting air operations during World War II. Tai Sing Loo Pan Am Clipper Photographs

Contents of the Collection The Tai Sing Loo Pan Am Clipper Photographs includes six black-and-white photographs taken by Loo in April 1935 documenting the first Pan American Clipper flight to Hawaii. The images depict the arrival, landing and departure of the plane piloted by Captain Edwin C. Musick. The photographs are numbered and original order was maintained. On the front of each photograph is Loo's name and date; three also include printed captions. Unidentified crew and dignitaries are in four of the images....
