Abstract
Marc Aloysius Lagen (1882-1946), originally from Dubuque, Iowa, was a theatrical manager who served as Captain in the Balloon Section of the U.S. Army Air Service during World War I. The collection contains documents, photographs, correspondence, and ephemera relating to his World War I career.

Contents of the Collection
This small collection is comprised of a program for a gala honoring Charles A. Lindbergh held at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris, France, May 27, 1927. The program is in French but has a handwritten inscription from Lindbergh in English: "Cordial greetings to the Aviators of France. Charles A. Lindbergh." The Stanley L. Marcus World War II Collection contains over 150 World War II survey and aeronautical maps, collected by Stanley L. Marcus during his service as a pilot in World War II. The collection contains a single poster, "République Française Instructions," dated April 22, 1916. The 20x30.5" poster is affixed to matboard with glue and at some point has suffered water damage as stains and ripples in the poster are present. It is printed in French and was issued by "Service Aeronautique" and the "Grand Quarter Général des Armées Françaises" and includes the name of "Le Major General Pellé."
