Catherine Bliss Pan American World Airways timetables

Contents of the Collection

This small collection is comprised of two Pan American Airways timetables titled "The Air-Way to Havana" for flights from Key West, Florida to Cuba in the late 1920's. Timetables are printed in color and feature black and white exterior and interior images of a Pan American Airways Fokker F.VIIa Trimotor, eight of which were used for this flight service.

Abstract

The Emile Chourré and Chourré Family Papers is comprised of documents and scrapbooks, photographic prints and photograph albums, and assorted ephemera primarily pertaining to the life and military career of Lieutenant Commander Emile Chourré (1894-1938). Major topics include Chourré's military service, especially while stationed in Coco Solo, Panama; his service as a U.S. Naval announcer for the 1929-1931 and 1933-1934 National Air Races; and family (immediate and extended) photographs.

Smith World War II Photograph Collection is comprised largely of photographic and audiovisual material, including 2,115 prints, 83 negatives, and 5 film reels. The images were taken or collected by Howard E. Smith, a United States Army Air Corps Public Relations Officer and base photographer, primarily while he was stationed at Smoky Hill Army Air Field (SHAAF) in Salina, Kansas.
