Contents of the Collection
The Steven E. Brackin Prints of Leigh Wade Negatives of Douglas World Cruisers consists of 45 8x10-inch black-and-white reproduction prints, primarily from negatives in the Leigh Wade Collection housed at McDermott Library, United State Air Force Academy. The prints were collected and possibly printed by Brackin and provide a glimpse into various aspects of the 1924 around-the-world flight of the Douglas World Cruisers. Born in Scotland, John Cook (1899-) was a mechanic who worked on the engines that powered the Douglas World Cruisers that completed the first circumnavigation of the globe by air. Cook also served in the military for thirty-six years and later was a Quality Control Inspector for the Air Force Aircraft program at Boeing. Abstract
James D. Griffin was an engineer for McDonnell Douglas Corporation. The collection contains five hundred and ninety-six (596) photographs, likely collected and notated by Griffin, featuring primarily Douglas Aircraft Company airplanes manufactured during the 1910s-1970s but also, to a lesser extent, other manufacturer models; including Aero Spacelines, Boeing, Consolidated, and Northrop. There is also a small amount of clippings, newsletters, and articles.

Abstract
Clyde Edward Pangborn (circa 1890s-1958) was born in Bridgeport, Washington and was a military pilot and barnstormer. The collection contains photographs and illustrations, correspondence, advertisements, newspaper clippings, a date book, military service records, and ephemera related to the Pangborn's personal life, military service, and barnstorming career from approximately 1912 to 1981.
