Custodial History

The Museum of Flight acquired the documents from from the Champlin Fighter Museum, founded by Doug Champlin (1941-2013). Champlin had purchased the documents from aviation historian Peter M. Grosz (1926-2006), who had acquired them from Fritz von Falkenheyn. Falkenheyn, who was on the staff of the Kommandierender General der Lufstreitkräfte (Kogenluft) in charge of Technical Affairs, had received the documents directly from von Richthofen at Kogenluft. Correspondence documenting the custodial history is present with the reports.
