Contents of the Collection

The David Wortman Lear Fan Slides and Technical Reports primarily contains annotated technical documents as well as 16 slides created and used by David Wortman during his engineering work on the Lear Fan 2100 at Lear Fan Limited from 1982 to 1985.

The technical documents form the bulk of the collection and include the following documents:

Additional textual materials include bankruptcy legal documents related to the bankruptcy of Lear Fan Limited and a photocopy of an August 26, 1985 article, "Lear Fan Seeking Outside Investor to Revitalize Turboprop Project." Also present are 16 color slides, taken by Wortman in July 1982, that depict the Lear Fan 2100 aircraft.
