Content Description

The Harris H. Reed Logbook and Military Records is a small collection consisting of Harris's aviator's logbook from his service as a blimp pilot during World War II and photocopies of his military records and related correspondence. The logbook spans November 1942 through April 1945 and documents Harris's service primarily with Blimp Squadron Two. An entry in the log for April 25, 1945 notes assistance with the rescue of a downed B-29 crew. Photocopies of Harris's service records from the National Archives and some files related to the rescue mission collected by Paul Alan Roales are also present.
