The Albert O. Hedberg Pilot Collection is a small collection consisting of materials from the career of Albert O. Hedberg, a commercial pilot in the United States in the 1930s.

The collection consists of: a pilot’s licence folder with a limited commercial licence dated October, 1, 1930; a pilot’s license folder with graduation certificate for Airtech School of Aviation dated March, 8, 1930; a Stanavo Pilot’s Handbook with annotations, circa 1931; and a Stanavo Pilot’s Information and Memoranda book, undated.

Biographical Note: Albert O. Hedberg

Albert O. Hedberg was a commercial pilot in the United States in the 1930s.

Albert O. Hedberg Jr. was born on November 5, 1908 in Casselton, North Dakota to ALbert O. and Lillian C. Hedberg. He attended Intermountain Union College in Helena, Montana; Montana State University in Missoula; and then graduated from Spokane College in Washington. He completed his pilot training at Airtech Aviation School in San Diego, California as well as Army Flight School in Riverside, California. He served with the Montana National Guard and was also the pilot for Montana state senator John W. Schnitzler.

Hedberg died April 24, 1932 in an airplane crash in Phillips County, Montana, along with Schnitzler.
