Scope and Contents

Album documenting "airplanes developed and produced in collaboration with the U.S. Army Air Corps and the U.S. Naval Air Service" during the period 1926-1932, created in 1934. Consists of 13 photographic prints interfiled with characteristic sheets with specifications for each aircraft. Aircraft documented include: OA-2 Army Observation Amphibian; LB-1A Army Bombardment; XHB-1 Heavy Bombardment, Army; LB-5A Bombardment; LB-7 Bombardment, Army; LB-6 Bombardment, Army; B-3A Army Bombardment; B-5A Army Bombardment; B-6A Bombardment, Army; B-4A Bombardment, Army. A tab is in the album for a section on Navy planes but only one text page relating to Navy planes follows it; there are no photographs of Navy planes.

This collection is open for research. The bound volumes and some documents may not be photocopied due to condition. Negatives may not be handled; copies and digital versions are available for access. Some oversize items are in need of conservation treatment so access may be limited.
