Report for October 26, 1943. A Aeronca L-3 (O-58) (NC-31333) and a Waco (OH) UPF-7 (ATC #642) (NC-29984), both owned by the Defense Plant Corporation, collided in mid-air near Spokane, Washington while on local instruction flights. The pilots in both planes, Thane M. Spahr and William Brown Ryan, were killed.

Report for June 3, 1943. A Piper J-3F Cub (NC-40826) and a Piper J-4A Cub Coupe (NC-23275), owned by Harte Flying Service and John A McCullough, respectively, collided in mid-air near Wichita, Kansas while on local instruction flights. The pilot and instructor of NC-40826 were both killed. The pilot and instructor of NC-23275 were not injured.

Eleven (11) minor incident reports from the Civil Aeronautics Board in Washington, D.C. Dated March 24, 1944.
