Eleven (11) minor incident reports from the Civil Aeronautics Board in Washington, D.C. Dated June 14, 1943.

Report for October 3, 1942. A Sikorsky VS-44A (NC-41880) operated by American Export Airlines crashed in the Bay of Exploits, Botwood, Newfoundland (Canada) while on a scheduled air carrier flight from New York, New York to Foynes, Eire [Republic of Ireland]. The pilot, Robert D. Lindsay, was injured. In all, 5 crew members and 6 passengers were killed, 2 crew members and 5 passengers received serious injuries, 2 crew members and 15 passengers received minor injuries, and 1 crew member was unharmed.

Report for January 21, 1943. A Martin (Glenn L.) Model 130 Clipper (NC-14715) operated by Pan American Airways crashed near Ukiah, California while on a scheduled service from Pearl Harbor, Territory of Hawaii to San Francisco, California. The pilot, Robert M. Elzey, his 8 crew members and the 10 passengers were all killed.
