Report for August 29, 1942. A Douglas DC-3A (NC-21711) operated by Northwest Airlines crashed near Bismarck, North Dakota while on a scheduled air carrier flight from Seattle, Washington and Chicago, Illinois (with intermediate stops). The pilot, Leon S. DeLong, received minor injuries. The 2 crew members and 17 passengers were unharmed.

Three (3) minor incident reports from the Civil Aeronautics Board in Washington, D.C. Dated January 21, 1943.

Four (4) minor incident reports from the Civil Aeronautics Board in Washington, D.C. Dated January 11, 1943.

Report for October 18, 1942. A Piper J-5A Cub Cruiser (NC-37960) owned by Midwest Flying Service crashed near Joliet, Illinois while on a local pleasure flight. The pilot, Herman Albert Maurer, and his passenger were both killed. Report for October 23, 1942. A Douglas DC-3 (NC-16017) operated by American Airlines collided in midair with a US Army Lockheed B-34 Ventura near Palm Springs, California. At the time, the DC-3 was operating on a scheduled air carrier service from Burbank, California to Phoenix, Arizona. The U.S. Army aircraft was on a ferrying flight from Long Beach, California to Palms Springs. The accident resulted in the deaths of all 3 crew members (including pilot Charles Fred Pedley) and 9 passengers on the Douglas. The pilot of the B-34, Lieutenant William Norman Wilson, and his passenger were not harmed.
