Report for March 2, 1942. A Douglas DC-3 (NC-21788) operated by Pennsylvania-Central Airlines crashed at the Detroit City Airport, Michigan while on a scheduled carrier flight from Washington, D.C. to Detroit, Michigan. The pilot, Ralph N. Read, his 2 crew members, and the 14 passengers were not injured.
