Seventy-one (71) reports of minor incidents from the Air Safety Board in Washington, D.C. Dated June 29, 1940.

Report for April 27, 1940. A Sikorsky S-38 Amphibion (NC-79) owned by the Civil Aeronautics Authority crashed into the Long Island Sound off of Port Washington, New York while on a flight test for a 4-M pilot rating. The pilot undertaking the test, Eric E. Radke, his copilot and 1 passenger were all killed.

Report for April 16, 1940. A Stinson (Aircraft) UC-81K (SR-10C) (NC-18482) operated by Inter-City Airlines crashed near Higganum, Connecticut while on a chartered flight from Boston Municipal Airport (Mass.) to West Palm Beach, Florida. The pilot, John R. Hartwell, and 1 passenger were seriously injured, while the remaining 2 passengers were killed.
