A release of royalty rights signed by Orville Wright on October 25, 1916, individually and as "executor and legatee of the estate of Wilbur Wright deceased.” The release relates to patents 821,393 and 908,929 and 987,662 and 1,075,533 and 1,122,348 that were assigned to the Wright Company in the agreement of October 9, 1915. The document has the signature of Lorin Wright as witness and was notarized on October 25, 1916 by L.W. James, Notary Public for Montgomery County, Ohio. Affixed to the document is a certificate that James signature is genuine signed by the Clerk of the Common Please Court for Montgomery County that bears the court’s seal. Also affixed to the document is a United States Patent Office form (2-392) that certifies the transfer of patents was recorded in Liber I-101, page 172 of Transfer of Patents on December 15, 1915. The form is signed by Thomas Ewing, Commissioner of Patents and bears the seal of the Patent Office. The document was returned by the Patent Office to Alan N. Mann, attorney for the Wright Company at 5 Nassau Street, New York, New York. 2 pages plus back cover.
