A signed mortgage on real estate in Dayton, Ohio from the Wright Company to Orville Wright “in consideration of the sum of One Dollar and other good and valuable considerations." The document contains a detailed description of 21 lots of land being conveyed. It appears the Wright Company acquired the land from Lewis B. Clemmer and Sarah C. Bish. The document was signed by Lorin Wright as Vice President of the Wright Company and Katharine Wright as Secretary on October 9, 1915 and bears the1909 embossed seal of the Wright Company. The signatures were notarized by Frederick Howard on October 9, 1915 and bears his notary seal. The back cover of the document indicates that the deed was recorded by the Recorder for Montgomery County on October 14, 1915. There is a release of the mortgage signed by Orville Wright on October 25, 1916 and attested to with the signatures of Lee Warren James and N. Schonfeldt. A certification that the release was recorded in book 370 at page 249 of the Mortgage Records of Montgomery County, Ohio is signed by Samuel S. Carr, the Recorder of Montgomery County, Ohio. 5 pages plus back cover.
