Bond of the Wright Company to Orville Wright, 1915 October 9
Scope and Contents
Signed $250,000 bond of the Wright Company to Orville Wright. Payment was to be made in two equal annual installments due October 15, 1916 and 1917. Interest of 6% was to be paid semi-annually in April and October. The document was signed by Lorin Wright as Vice-President and attested to by Katherine Wright as Secretary and bears the 1909 embossed seal of the Wright Company. The signatures were notarized by Frederick Howard on October 9, 1915 and bears his notary seal. In the margin of page two of the document is the notation “Dayton, Ohio, October 25, 1916, I hereby acknowledge full payment and satisfaction of the within bond” and the signatures of Orville Wright, Lorin Wright, and Lee Warren James. 3 pages plus cover.
