Letter, December 11, 1940. Describes a news reel of daily life in London under bombardment, and other personal matters. Three (3) typed pages.

Letter, September 22, 1943. Discusses primarily personal matters, as well as anticipation of an upcoming issue of National Geographic containing images of Lane's medals. Two (2) typed pages.

Letter, circa 1943. Discusses a Boeing plane crash in Seattle, attending special invited viewing of a film about aviation in the Pacific theater, formal inspections and reviews of the Seattle Air Defense Wing; forwards a letter (not included), presumably a commendation or promotion. Five (5) handwritten pages.
