Letter, January 18, 1939. Discusses personal health, news, and social engagements; describes an incident regarding the termination of one of their house staff. Five (5) typed pages.
Letter, December 14, 1941. Discusses need for surgery aftercare for their father and other personal matters, discussion of the war including comments on the Boeing plant being prepared for blackouts. Four (4) typed pages.
Letter, December 23, 1941. Discusses Christmas gifts and other personal matters, war news including typing lists of women in the Intelligence Service, Eben Draper working constantly. Two (2) typed pages.
Letter, July 9, 1942. Discusses personal and political news. One (1) typed page.
Postcard, postmarked October 3, 1942. Acknowledges receipt of letter and discusses personal news.
Letter, February 11, 1943. Discusses personal news, as well as war topics including campaigning for a war fund, news of an acquaintance's son dying. Eight (8) typed and handwritten pages.
Letter, March 11, 1943. Congratulates Archibald on his commendation, discusses personal matters. Four (4) handwritten pages.
Letter, April 5, 1943. Acknowledges birthday greetings and sends her own, mentions a friend's son in the submarine service who might want to meet Archibald, urges him to eat well and relax sometimes. Four (4) handwritten pages.
Letter, July 14, 1943. Congratulates Archibald on his promotion to Major. Two (2) handwritten pages.
