The Murray Stuart and Noel Rae Collection relates to husband and wife, Murray Stuart and Noel Rae. Materials primarily date from 1929-1959 and the first series, Murray Stuart, covers his varied early career and time as a Pan American Airways pilot. It includes thirty-nine (39) photographs; twelve (12) that accompany Pan American records regarding an emergency landing undertaken by Stuart in Tokyo, Japan and twenty-seven (27) depicting various aircraft and people. It also includes personal and business documents such as a Pan American Master Pilot Diploma, a photocopy of Stuart and Rae's marriage license, and identification and business cards; and ephemera, such as a Pan Am Quarter Century Club menu and an Arctic Circle travel certificate. The second series, Noel Rae, documents Rae's career with clippings, printed materials, and photographs.
