Highfill, Gordon

Lieutenant Gordon Jefferson Highfill served as a pilot for the United States Navy during World War II. He served stateside for the duration of the war, flying all over the west coast of the U. S. and up to Alaska. After the war, Highfill was active in the Naval Reserve throughout the 1950s and 1960s. He was promoted to Lieutenant Commander in 1960. His career was mainly based in Seattle, Washington, at the Naval Air Station at Sand Point.

Abstract Gordon Highfill served as a pilot for the United States Navy during World War II and in the Naval Reserves during the 1950s-1960s. The collection contains military records, a Naval Reservist newsletter, a Douglas C-47 Skytrain check list, and three (3) pilot log books from his service.
