Biographical Note

Jesse Ralph Crookshanks was born on May 8, 1918. He enlisted in the United States Army Air Force on October 9, 1942. He was Crew Chief of the 1st American Volunteer Group (AVG) "Flying Tigers", 3rd Squadron "Hell's Angels."

Crookshanks married Bernadine Williams (1921-2008) on December 20, 1947. Jesse R. Crookshanks died on February 11, 1991.
