Biographical Note

Ole Olson (1877-1943) was a doctor and served in World War I.

Ole Olson, also seen as Oleson, was born on June 11, 1877 in Gardiner, Illinois to Mads N. and Anna A. (Thompson) Olson. He became a doctor and served in World War I as head doctor for the 108th ammunition train of the 33rd Division of the Illinois National Guard. His unit was deployed to France in 1918. When the war ended, he remained for a time as part of the Army of Occupation in Luxembourg. He earned the rank of Major.

Olson married Ana E. Fuhrmann (1855-1966) on August 23, 1907 in St. Paul, Minnesota. Ole Olson died on November 8, 1943. No further information is known.
