Biographical Note

Charles C. Gates, Jr. (May 27, 1921 – August 28, 2005) was an American businessman and philanthropist. In 1961, he took over Gates Rubber Company after the death of his father. Gates was active on many boards and a trustee emeritus of the Gates Family Foundation.
