Biographical Note

Gian Carlo, sometimes seen as Gian-Carlo, Bertelli was born in Parma, Italy. Bertelli had a doctorate in European literature and studied at Columbia University on a Fulbright scholarship, where he also lectured. Bertelli worked for Hill and Knowlton as Executive Vice President of European operations in Geneva, Switzerland and later spent ten years as a consultant. From late 1973 until circa 1975, he served as President of Lear Motors Corporation and Leareno Development.

Bertelli was married to Shanda Lear, daughter of William P. and Moya Olsen Lear. No further information is known.
