Biographical Note
Herbert Charles Hoover was born in London to U.S. President Herbert Clark Hoover and First Lady Lou Henry on August 4, 1903. Hoover, Jr. was an engineer, businessman, and politician. He served as United States Under Secretary of State from 1954 to 1957. He died July 9, 1969.
