Biographical Note: Robert R. Hadley

Robert R. Hadley was born on May 2, 1915. From January 1944 to December 1945 he served in intelligence with United States Navy, ranked as Sepcialist, 2nd class in the terrain model unit. He was stationed at Pearl Harbor and tasked with making maps. He graduated from the Art Institute of Chicago and worked as a commercial artist for Hitchcock Publishing Company in Wheaton, Illinois before and after World War II. He died Febraury 12, 1978.

Contents of the Collection

The Robert R. Hadley World War II Collection consists of documents and photographs from Hadley's service in the U.S. Navy in World War II. The collection includes a black-and-white portrait of Hadley; three aerial photographs of Kyushu region in Japan, 1945; and correspondence, certificates, and records related to his military service.
