Biographical Note

Carrie (Cornell) Davis was born on November 15, 1866 in Iowa to Hiram Cornell (1815-1909) and Sarah Ann (Haight) Cornell (1819-1898). She married Jefferson Lee Davis in 1890. The couple had four children, Franklin, Donald, Catherine, and Dudley. She died on January 6, 1958 in Mill Valley, California.

Major topics include Chourré's military service, especially while stationed in Coco Solo, Panama; his service as a U.S. Naval announcer for the 1929-1931 and 1933-1934 National Air Races; and family (immediate and extended) photographs.
