Lynn H. Morrison was born in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1920. He was in the Civil Air Patrol from May 10, 1942 to May 2, 1944. He served in the United States Navy from May 19, 1944 to February 11, 1946 in Hedron 14-2 Flight Air Wing L4. He then worked as a planner at Douglas Aircraft and later as a flight test and delivery pilot at McDonnell-Douglas from 1946-1982. In the late 1940s he was also a private pilot and a Taylorcraft owner. He died April 12, 1996.

Content Description The Lynn H. Morrison DC-8 rollout slides consist of 10 color 35mm slides depicting the rollout of the DC-8 circa 1958. The aircraft is painted with Douglas livery rather than for any particular airline. The plane is on a tarmac outside a hangar with crowds of people around it.
