Biography
Steve Ellis is a member of The Museum of Flight Docent Corps. He worked as a sports reporter and freelance writer from 1967 to 1992, and served as an intelligence officer for the U.S. Air Force and Air Force Reserve for thirty years. He is the son of Robert Ellis, an aviation mechanic and co-pilot who worked for United Air Lines and their early subsidiaries. His father’s stories about the Golden Age of Aviation instilled in him a lifelong love of aviation history.
