Biographical Note

Isidore Auguste Marie Louis Paulhan, known as Louis Paulhan, was born on July 19, 1883. He was a pioneering French aviator and is known for winning the first Daily Mail aviation prize for the first flight between London and Manchester in 1910. Paulhan also participated in the 1910 Los Angeles International Air Meet at Dominguez Field. Louis Paulhan died on February 10, 1963.

Abstract

Goodman L. Goodmanson (1886-1924) worked as a photographer for the Los Angeles Examiner during the 1910s. The collection is comprised of a photograph album containing sixty-three (63) black-and-white photographs depicting scenes from the Los Angeles International Air Meet of 1910 and a handwritten notecard presenting the album as a gift.
