Biography

Henry L. Reed was a Technical Sergeant in the United States Air Force from 1942-1963. Reed fought in World War II, and was stationed in the Philippines at the time that Pearl Harbor was bombed. He ended up being captured and was forced on the infamous Bataan Death March. He eventually reached Japan and was in Nagasaki when the atomic bomb "Fat Man" was dropped on August 9, 1945. Reed survived and served in the Air Force until retiring in 1963.
