No. 103 Squadron was a Royal Air Force (RAF) bomber squadron during World War I, World War II and the Cold War, switching to helicopters in the late 1950s until it was disbanded for the last time in 1975.

Contents of the Collection

The Roy Herbert Royal Air Force (RAF) World War II Collection is comprised of materials relating to Herbert's RAF service as part of the 103rd Squadron during World War II. The materials were likely gathered by Herbert and include military identification and records, black-and-white portraits of Roy Herbert, clippings and photocopies related to the 103rd Squadron and its members, and a lithograph of a Lancaster B.I, which was utilized by the 103rd Squadron during the Battle of Britain.
