Central Airlines began in 1944. It ceased operations in 1967 when it was acquired by Frontier Airlines (1950-1986), a defunct airline that was different than the new airline of the same name that was established in 1994.

Contents of the Collection
The Alfred Goldberg Photograph Collection contains photographs and a small number of textual materials that mostly pertain to aircraft construction and maintenance in the 1940s-1950s. It is likely the photographs were collected by Goldberg during his career at Bedek Aviation Company in an unknown position and as Superintendent of Maintenance at Flying Tiger Line. Contents of the Collection
This small collection is comprised of assorted ephemera related to various commercial airlines, including photographs, postcards, decals, bumper stickers, and maps. The bulk of the collection is more than fifty photographs, primarily of Frontier Airlines aircraft in service between 1950-1990.
