William E. Boeing Sr. Papers

Abstract William E. Boeing, Sr. (1881-1956) was an aviation pioneer and founded The Boeing Company in 1916. The collection holds textual materials, such as correspondence, philately, business-related materials, clippings, and ephemera, as well as photographs and illustrations related to his personal and business life, circa 1783-2008. Major areas of interest include family photographs and extensive personal and business-related correspondence.

The John R. Buschmann B-29 Collection

Abstract Lt. Col. John R. Buschmann compiled this information about the Boeing B-29 Superfortress, known as "T-Square 54," through personal research and interviews with former crew members. In 2015 these materials, including a short history of the plane written by Lt. Col. Buschmann, were donated to the Museum of Flight in an effort to keep the physical plane and its history housed in one location.

Major topics include Chourré's military service, especially while stationed in Coco Solo, Panama; his service as a U.S. Naval announcer for the 1929-1931 and 1933-1934 National Air Races; and family (immediate and extended) photographs.
