Content Description The Henry C. Runkel Apollo Collection is a small collection with visual and textual materials documenting the development of the Saturn launch vehicles used in NASA's Apollo program in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The collection consists of items gathered by Runkel who was Boeing's Chief Engineer for the S-1C stage of the Saturn V rocket at NASA's Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans, Louisiana. Douglas I. Tilden Lunar Roving Vehicle Collection

Abstract Douglas I. Tilden worked on the restoration of the Museum of Flight's Lunar Roving Vehicle. A crew of 18 volunteers worked on the restoration project from about 1993-1995. The materials in the collections were used for that restoration project.
