Historical Note

Japan Air System Co., Ltd. (JAS) was a Japanese airline that primarily offered domestic passenger flights with few international destinations. Originally established in 1971 as Toa Domestic Airlines the airline adopted the Japan Air System name in 1988. It operated as such until 2006 when it merged with Japan Airlines.
