Historical Note

Colonial Airlines was a United States airline from 1942 to 1956. It began in 1928 as Canadian Colonial Airways and flew air mail. It was renamed Colonial Airlines in 1942 and added scheduled service. The airline ceased operations when it merged with Eastern Air Lines.
