Historical Note

Colonial Air Transport was an early airline that flew between New York, New York and Boston, Massachusetts from 1926 and 1929. It was founded by Juan Trippe and initially flew only air mail. In 1929 it added passenger service just before it was acquired by AVCO (Aviation Corporation of the Americas), which eventually became Pan Am.
