Historical Note

World Airways, Inc., was an American airline headquartered in Peachtree City, Georgia. It was founded in 1948 and operated mostly as a government contractor, including transport flights during the Vietnam War. The airline did offer some passenger service, primarily in the 1970s-1990s. World Airways ceased operations in 2014.

Contents of the Collection The Robert Dempster Airline ephemera is a small collection comprised of assorted airline schedules/timetables and safety cards ranging from the 1950s through the 1980s. The collection also contains a poster for a parade for Astronaut Dick Gordon through Seattle, Washington in 1966.
