Historical Note

Direcção de Exploração de Transportes Aéreos, more commonly known as DETA, was the flag carrier airline of Mozambique. It operated from 1936 to 1980 when it was restructured and rebranded as LAM – Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique. It changed names again slightly and operates as of 2026 as LAM Mozambique Airlines.
